We are able to get out and clean up the Orchard and get a good start on one of our biggest jobs of the year, pruning all the apple trees. This time of year is also a great time to put on some fertilizer to give the trees that much needed start after a hard winter.
We started off the year at Wendy’s Country Market the last weekend of April. We sold a lot of apple and crabapple trees as well as renewed a lot of acquaintances from the past years. It was also a great opportunity to talk to the many apple growers out there. Wendy does a wonderful job of providing an opportunity for many different growers to share their insights and experiences. Wendy has a special event at her market the last Sunday of every month and we recommend that you check it out. For more information visit her website at www.wendysmobilemarket.com.
Later this month we have scheduled our Apple Tree Workshops. They are on May 16th, 23rd and the 30th. The Saturday Workshops are from 9:30am-11:30am. In the Workshop you will learn how to plant, prune, and general care of your tree. At the end of the Workshop you take home a tree of your choice to plant. The cost is $45.00. To register please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call @ 613-283-8699.
Hope to see you soon and as always if you have any questions please give us a call or email us.
